The Stellar Blade X account posted an interview with Game Director Hyung-Tae Kim @jamm3rd.
In this interview, the Game Director states, "Of course it depends on how you define beautiful bodies, but for us we wanted to come up with the most attractive looking body for the user, so this is why we made the decision to work with her."

In the "Behind The Scenes" video, they state that real life versions of the outfits were purchased.
Then, they had a model wear the outfit and scanned it into 3D.
They did this to achieve a "higher quality and realistic visuals".

In the day one version of the game(v.1002), the level of quality and visuals is LOW for most of the censored outfits.
All of the censored outfits have a seam line at neck.
There appears to have been a rush to censor the outfits due to the pixelation, artifacting, and lack of detail that the censored outfits display.
